A London born girl who loves carbs, air max 1s, big hoops and the Brazen life I created after turning 40.
But it wasn’t always like that!
Before the age of 41, I was 30lbs over weight, drowning in debt and operating with a disempowering mind-set. By the time my 45th birthday rolled around, I lost all the weight, was debt free, started a business and was living a life filled with things that bring me joy!
HOW DID I SHED THAT OLD IDENTITY AND CREATE A LIFE I NOW LOVE?
I designed a simple 3 step process that allowed me to believe it was possible, plan the steps I needed to take and start integrating the actions into my daily life to make my new identity a reality.
At the age of 40, I had been married for just over 22 years. Had two children, a successful career in education, nice clothes and a decent car. Even my social life was pretty active.
On paper, my life seemed good. But in reality I was nearly 30lbs over weight, drowning in debt and miserable.
The shame and burden of my situation resulted in the mother of all panic attacks at the age of 41. This event changed my whole life.
I was done! I made a commitment to change my identity.
I created a new set of life values. Made a commitment towards creating new goals and started to change my life one action at a time.
But most importantly, I finally started to believe I could change my life.
Armed with a clear vision of how I wanted my life to be – I needed a plan!
Although I was motivated and knew the destination of where I wanted to go, I was overwhelmed by the journey ahead of me.
Over the proceeding year, I tried different systems, strategies and techniques to put my plan into action. 30 books and hundreds of YouTube video’s later, I crafted an effective planning system. This allowed me to clearly set my priorities, plan my actions and use the time I had effectively.
Two years after my mid-life crisis, I had lost all the weight, took control of my finances, and changed my negative mindset. People started noticing the changes I had achieved and wanted to know what I did. It was at this point I decided to start sharing my journey.

After I made the commitment to change my life during my Believe It journey and got clear on what I needed to do at my Plan It stages, the struggle I had was staying consistent.
Although I had completely moved out of my disempowering comfort zone and was working towards the life I truly desired, I still had work to do.
I started to adapt my routines, create new habits and integrate new behaviours into my daily life.
Understanding my behaviour triggers and optimising my environment was a huge help in creating the habits and routines I needed to be consistent in my efforts to work towards my goals.
Fast forward to my 45th birthday, I had started a blog, increased my income, reduced my biological age to 30 years old and had flourishing relationships with my family, friends and myself.

It became my mission to empower other women over 40 to know it was not too late to become who they wanted to be.

From learning to believe change is possible, actually make plans to implement that change and staying consistent can appear to be so overwhelming. I get it!
